Given all the administrative features that have been added to our clients' websites to date, and in preparation for more to come, Memberize has developed a new streamlined navigation scheme for administrators.

The new navigation scheme utilizes a single control panel approach to find and access all the current administrative functions of the website. It also incorporates a single dynamic "drop-down" menu accessible from any webpage within the Member Area of the website.

Memberize has now added an RSS feature that allows your members to subscribe to an RSS feed of your Events. They can view some cursory details of your group’s Event Postings and click on any event to register online with your Memberize account.

RSS is an acronym for Real Simple Syndication (see the Wikipedia Definition) that allows for users to “subscribe” to a “feed” by specifying the unique URL for that feed inside a capable RSS “reader.” RSS readers can be found on many custom-content pages like My Yahoo, Google! and others, in addition to stand-alone readers like those incorporated in the latest generation of web browsers such as Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 7.0.

RSS feeds are an efficient and convenient way for your membership to keep abreast of all of your Event Postings without having to log in to your Memberize pages. As with almost everything here at Memberize you can control and configure this feature to suit your needs.

As of Monday, November 13, 2006, Memberize has made available an array of preconfigured Style Templates (over three dozen already!) to help our new clients create their own unique look and feel for their website. Each template has been created with an aesthetically matching color scheme using color wheel methodology.

These templates function just like the existing Memberize Styles in that clients can edit each style attribute individually once they have selected a template they wish to work with. Clients can use these templates as starting points for their own color scheme or simply as an easy way to sample and preview the possibilities before deciding on style settings they create from scratch. As with any Memberize feature the Style Templates and their use are fully explained in the Help Files.

Beginning Monday, October 30, 2006, Memberize will offer our new Survey Manager to all new and existing clients to complement the rest of our Membership Management functionality. For new clients this service will be added to the Standard and Professional packages.

This module will allow for the creation of Surveys with various question types as a valuable tool for organizations to monitor and create feedback from their membership. Survey data can be analyzed in spreadsheet or graphic HTML format complete with pie charts and tables.

These surveys can be associated with event registrations to help gauge a membership's response and enhance future event attendance. Individual surveys can also be deployed as a means to enhance your membership's satisfaction with your organization's responsiveness to their needs.

Client Notificaton - 09/01/2006

On Friday September 1, 2006, Memberize will be incorporating some changes in the Member Join and Member Renewal processes. These changes are intended to streamline the process and to help minimize the occurrence of duplicate member records in your database.

The most obvious of these changes will be a change in the order of the registration process steps. Currently prospective member information is not recorded until completion of the transaction process. This will be changed such that a prospective member's email address will first be verified against existing database records, then the prospective member's contact information will be captured prior to the prospective member having to select a Membership Plan and method of payment.

We believe these changes will provide a cleaner process for prospective members as well as help administrators by eliminating duplicate member records.
