Assuming I don't write CSS code or understand it, how would I go about inserting a picture behind my text?
"Hi, I'm not sure if I understand what you mean by "photos as watermarks", maybe just more transparent photos to use as background images? But if it were possible it would involve writing a small snippet of CSS to set the background image. There is some sample CSS code in the Website Styles area that you can try, and using the preview button and your watermarked photo, you can test some different backgrounds out. As far as *creating* a Watermark image I would not know anything about that, but a little internet searching on "CSS background image" and use of our sample code should be all you need to set a background image."

Hi,
Using the Style Sheet (CSS = Cascading Style Sheet) is the only way I'm aware of to create that effect. There is an example inside the Website Style Setup page. All you would need to do is replace the background image in the example with a path to your own background image.
CSS isn't really a programming language, it is just a shorthand set of commands that dictate display parameters (colors, fonts, layout). If you Google "CSS Background Image" you will find a whole host of free tutorials, tools, Wizards and the like.
When you "Edit" one of your Styles in Memberize, what you are using is a Tool or Wizard that writes to your CSS file for your account. Using the "Custom CSS" box allows you to post actual CSS commands, including the background image.
I hope you find this reply useful. Thank you for contacting Memberize Support.
