THE EVENT
Each summer JCI Santa Clarita takes part in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life event. Relay for Life is about celebration, remembrance, and hope. By participating, we honor cancer survivors, pay tribute to the lives we’ve lost to the disease, and raise money to help fight it!
This amazing event brings together thousands of community members to raise money to help eliminate cancer as a major health problem. Hundreds and hundreds of community members walk in a 24-hour walk-a-thon.

JCI Santa Clarita & RELAY FOR LIFE
On May 30, 2009, beginning at 9am, the JCI Santa Clarita “Lifewatch” team will begin walking again to raise our goal of $1,500 for the American Cancer Society.
We are proud to announce that the Lifewatch team reached that goal in 2008 and had over 40 Jaycees walking the track over the 24 hour period. We had a team site on the track and held many fun activities including lifeguard pictures, card games and water fights! To see photos from this year’s Relay, click here .
