National REIA offers many benefits and services to assist in growing your group by attracting and retaining members. One of our most popular and well-used benefits is Sherwin-Williams. Below is a listing of how our relationship benefits your members and how to utilize this discount.
 
Sherwin-Williams is North America’s oldest and largest paint manufacturer. For nearly 135 years, their name has been synonymous with quality coatings, delivered to their customers with outstanding customer service by the most knowledgeable people in the industry.
 
Sherwin-Williams’ commitment to National Account Customers:
·           Provide consistent products, services, and pricing to every member.
·           Provide one National Account Manager to be the point person for their account.
·           Offer flexibility in reporting, tracking, and accounting to meet the customer’s needs.
·           Develop marketing programs to enhance the value of their programs.

Services:
·           Troubleshooting – S-W's expert rep force is available to help determine the cause of existing paint problems at your properties.
·           Recommendations – Those same reps will write you product specifications, help you prepare a scope of work for bidding purposes, even refer you painters whose abilities match the needs of your work.
·           Training – Our local management teams will work with each chapter to develop training programs, demonstrate products and application techniques, discuss paint problems, or any other needs that your members may have.
·           Electronic ordering – Order your paint in the evening from your computer, and pick it up or have it delivered the next day. Order history keeps track of your purchases so you know what paint went where and when.
·           Color & Design – Many of their stores are now staffed with in-house decorators who are able to help as you are updating your properties. A web-based color-imaging program will also be available later this year, which will allow you to visualize the properties in a variety of color schemes, before you start to paint.

·           Custom Color Matching – S-W store personnel are experts in color matching. Whether it’s the technology of an advanced color computer, or the well-trained eye of the Store Manager, your color will be right every time.
 
Paint is not just paint:
·           Multitude of product qualities and sheens available, matched to best suit the needs of your properties.
·           Consistent colors, with little to no batch-to-batch variance.
·           Product stocked at the store, eliminating any need for on-site storage.
·           Products available for a wide range of substrates in a number of different qualities, depending on the life cycle of the project that you are expecting.
 
Floorcovering, the added benefit:
·           Dedicated Floorcovering stores located in many metropolitan areas. In those markets, there will be a dedicated Representative for Floorcovering.
·           Pricing available on Mohawk, Shaw, Armstrong, and many other product lines. Pricing is done locally.
·           Installers are required to carry insurance and comply with a standard sub-contract agreement.
·           Installation and material back by Sherwin-Williams.

How it works
·           A cash account will be set up for every Chapter of NaREIA. If you are a new Chapter, contact Pete Cobb at 440-846-4305 to obtain an account number.
·           The account will be linked to the pricing that has been established nationally for REIA Members, and can be used at any of our 2,600 stores.
·           Cards will be made that will identify the account number. The local Chapter will determine how many cards they need and forward the information on to the National Account Manager.
·           Members that have their own charge account with Sherwin-Williams can be linked to the pricing as well by emailing the account number and request to pete.t.cobb@sherwin.com.
·           Members wishing to establish an account can do so by filling out a commercial credit application at their local store, then requesting that they be linked to the NaREIA National Account.
·           A Sherwin-Williams Rep will be assigned to every local Chapter to coordinate training, product demonstrations, and any other needs.
·           Sales will be tracked by Chapter and available quarterly upon request.
·           The National Account Manager will work with National REIA to coordinate marketing programs, National shows, web links, Newsletter articles and any other benefits that might be identified
·           Pricing updates will be communicated through the local Chapters at least 30 days in advance of any changes.
 
Pricing:
·           Pricing consistent throughout the United States.
·           Most paint products will be discounted 30% from our National Account Price List, which is already discounted from our Retail List Price. This represents a total savings of 40% or more.
·           Paint Sundries will be discounted 30% from list and Applicators will be discounted 35% from list.
·           We have also identified a number of key products that will most likely make up the bulk of your paint purchases. We have priced these lines to be extremely competitive in your markets, which gives you even more savings when you purchase these products.
·           Floorcovering, Spray Equipment, Wallcovering and Window Treatments are all quoted equally.
