New Investors Subgroup

NEW MEETING LOCATION beginning with our FEB. 2012 meeting

October 1, 2012 - Maple Shade, NJ @ 6pm

TOPIC:  Record keeping for new investors

Remember it is not always how much you make but how much you get to keep. Presenter:  Jim Kennedy, CPA, CGMA.  Jim will help us all learn to keep our books properly. We must pay our silent partner (the IRS)  but lets only pay them what we owe.

Bio - Jim Kennedy is a CPA who specializes in real estate tax and accounting issues. He is also a real estate investor. He draws the bulk of his experience from two sources: First, he is a CPA who was also an Internal Revenue Service Tax Examiner and served in the Criminal Investigation Division where he leaned the IRS tax code, and second, he is a real estate investor himself, owning residential and commercial properties in and out of New Jersey. Jim is also on the SJREIA Board, chairs the Finance Committee there, has published articles for trade journals and college textbooks on tax and accounting, and has appeared on television and radio as a real estate expert.

New Investors have a lot of questions about getting started, managing tenants, etc. Come to this meeting and get your questions answered!! This is a round table discussion in the basics of real estate investing for the novice investor. Come learn how to earn a PROFIT and avoid the PITFALLS of real estate investing.

This meeting is lead by Subgroup Leader Fred Ezell, Sr.  Fred is a seasoned investor who''s been there, done that.  He will share years of investing experience with you to help you get started in real estate investing.
