This month will be the second part in a six part series called "The 5 Key Skills for You to Become a Successful Real Estate Investor".
In June, we provided the membership with an overview of the 5 key skills:
(1) Finding Killer Deals
(2) How Great is Your Great Deal?
(3) Raising Capital and Financing
(4) Rehabbing and Ready for Market
(5) Managing your portfolio
This month, we are going to focus in on Skill #1 - Finding Killer Deals. We are going to cover the key areas and tools you should have to find and organize your Seller Leads, sort thought and find viable Sellers and then negotiate a successful deal with them. We are going to cover these subjects:
i. First Contact Property Evaluations – What questions to ask on the phone
ii. How to interview your Seller prospects in person
iii. Pre-Property trip Research (Public Property Records, Comparable Property Analysis)
iv. How to organize you business (tracking leads, prospect and properties)
v. What forms should you use to collect information on your clients and properties?
vi. Determining your Exit Strategy – A quick determination of type of deal you will make
To everyone in attendance, we will be handing out useful forms and other material to assist you in finding and negotiating successful deals.
Be sure to attend the July meeting of the SJREIA - Mercer County Subgroup, as it's going to be a great start to a successful summer learning how to become a more successful Real Estate Investor.
This brand new group is for Mercer County investors. This group will focus on the opportunities, growth, and issues in the Mercer County area, including Trenton.
