UPDATE 8/31 : EVENT RSVP's CLOSED -- SEATING IS AT CAPACITY - No additional seats available for this event.
Covering your assets: Picking the right entity, getting set up and setting yourself up for success.
· How many different ways can you get in trouble right from the start and how can you avoid these?
· New and seasoned investor alike both know there are many pitfalls and traps to avoid at every step of the real estate journey, no matter what your exit strategy.
In this seminar, Jim Kennedy will cover how to protect yourself right from the very beginning:
· When you start your real estate business, if you select the wrong type of business entity, you could be massive amounts of tax more than you really should. Jim will authoritatively, once-and-for-all define, explain, compare and contrast each of the different types of business entities we hear about in real estate for you and illustrate how to help yourself and hurt yourself with each. S-Corps, C-corps, partnerships, Limited Liability Companies, Limited Liability partnerships, Family Partnerships, Single member LLC’s, sole proprietors and even non-profit groups under IRS code section 501 will be covered.
· Once you select your entity, Jim will add pointers on successfully getting started on the recordkeeping side so that you can spend your valuable time investing, since you set yourself up properly.
This is a must see for new investors and also seasoned ones who are looking to see if there are more tax advantaged options available. There is no one entity that is perfect for everybody. Jim will tell you when each of these entities is good and when each one of these is bad, so bring a notebook and bring your questions. Get ready to set yourself up for success!
