Accommodation
Accommodation is in shared dormitories or you can bring your own tent and camp. All meals and workshops are included.
Arriving
We appreciate you arriving between 4PM and 6PM. Check in with the registration crew when you arrive for directions.
What to Bring?
- Water bottle and hat (broad brim recommended)
- Sunscreen and insect repellent
- Comfortable and warm clothing for day and night
- Medicines (clearly marked)
- Shoes
- Pillow, pillow case, bottom sheet, sleeping bag or blanket
- Towel and toiletries
- Pen and writing material
- Torch
- A musical instrument if you have one
- An open heart and mind!
Man Alive is alcohol, drug and pet-free. Please leave these at home.

Car Pooling
It''s much easier to hook up with a lift to Man Alive if you put it out there early! If you need a lift or can offer a lift, please email your name, phone number and town/suburb you are departing from to admin@menswellbeing.org before 31 August!
Young men (under 18)
If you wish to invite your son, or a young man you are mentoring, to Man Alive you must consult the Organising Committee as there are strict conditions on the attendance of young men. A fee of $110 (incl. GST) applies to young men who are accepted for attendance. Write to <rbunker5@bigpond.com>.
Financial support
A limited number of subsidised places are available from donations by the other men attending. If you are receiving CentreLink payments and would not be able to attend Man Alive without support, up to half of your registration fee can be subsidised this way. Subsidised men repay the gathering by helping set-up on Friday, pack-up on Sunday afternoon, and in the kitchen throughout the weekend. In the event applications exceed donations, subsidies will be awarded in order of need. Please apply in writing toadmin@menswellbeing.org
Tee Shirts
You can pre-purchase your Man Alive tee-shirt this year and it will be waiting for your arrival on Friday afternoon. This guarantees you can get one in your size, and also saves you postage. Unfortunately, we can't show you the design during the payment process, so here it is now:
