For those who have had interest in the lucrative business of hotel ownership, Nim Patel and Elliott Murray of Horizon Hospitality Management, Inc., will be our Guest Speakers.

Nim Patel, Founder/CEO of HHMI developed the business plan that helped fuel HHMI’s growth from managing a single hotel brand to managing a diverse portfolio of hotel brands. Nim's background has served him well in his leadership role. He earned his undergraduate degree from Mercer University. After undergraduate school in 1997, Nim moved to Cincinnati, Ohio and joined Tricon as a District Manager operating 8 restaurants. In 2000, he joined Wendy’s International into a fast track program to a DAO position operating 45 restaurants. In 2000, he enrolled in the School of Business Administration at Ohio State University and obtained a Masters Degree. Upon graduation in 2002, he joined his family in Atlanta and became Chairman and CEO of Horizon Hospitality Mgt. Inc.

Under the leadership of Elliott Murray, Senior Vice President of Marketing, HHMI has developed comprehensive sales and marketing plans which have maximized HHMI's portfolio of owned/managed hotels' market share, revenues and profits. The importance HHMI has placed on sales and marketing will continue to accelerate as the marketplace becomes even more diverse and competitive.

Elliott, a 33 year veteran in the hotel industry, is a 1978 graduate of Depaul University with a bachelor's degree in business administration with concentrations in marketing and management. Elliott is a native of Georgia and worked in various hotel positions throughout high school and college. He served as an opening task force consultant for Marriott Fairview Park, Virginia; Sheraton LAX; Westin Galleria in Dallas, TX; Ritz Carlton in Laguna Negol, CA, and Ritz Carlton Washington, DC. In 2002, Elliott was promoted to Senior Vice President-Marketing.

Elliott’s scope of responsibilities include business development, commissioned sales teams, national sales support, direct marketing programs, e-commerce, revenue and distribution channel management and selling investments.

Chris Littleton is President of the Board at GaREIA; Co-leader of the DealMakers and HUD/REOs/Auctions Education Networks and leader of the Commercial / Multi-Family Education Network.  Chris is a co-owner of Solutions Realty Network, Inc. (SRN), a GaREIA Business Associate member. He shares a passion for seeking out sound real estate investment opportunities and is committed to making profitable real estate investments through standardized renovations, reliable property management, and consistent maintenance. He prides himself on being an experts in those fields and proves it by successfully managing over 400 single family & multifamily properties in 18 metro Atlanta counties.

He has been an active real estate investor and property managers since 2003. The Real Market Experts(r) of Atlanta was a franchise he owned where he assisted investors nationwide in acquiring over $60 Million of Investment Property in just a few years. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM), and among the first in Georgia to earn the Real Estate Property Management (REPM) designation.

Chris is certified by the EPA in Lead Renovation, Repair, & Painting (RR&P) and has a strong background in construction/renovations and runs his own property maintenance and renovations company Home Pro Solutions Inc.
