Meet one-on-one with three senior design professionals!

 Contest : Submit your portfolio early for a chance to enter the contest. Portfolios will be judged on content, clarity, and ability to communicate design work.

Email a PDF file less than 10 MB to students@iidane.org  by Friday, March 29^th in order to be eligible for prizes.

First place is $500 cash, [book] Eero Saarinen: Furniture for Everyman by Brian Lutz, a student-level sponsored IIDA membership for 2014.

Second place is a $100 gift card to Blick Art and a student-level sponsored IIDA membership for 2014.

Keynote: Dennis Duffy, IIDA, LEED AP

Dennis Duffy is the founding principal of award-winning interior design firm, Duffy Design Group,  located in Boston’s South End.  Dennis has brought his expertise and unique vision to residential and hospitality clients and consistently partners with other members of the A/E/C industry to determine the best solution for each challenge. Notably honored for his interior design expertise, Dennis has garnered numerous awards including being presented with a 2011 Award of Excellence for Contributions to the Interior Design Profession by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID).  He was also the Keynote Speaker at ASID’s 2010 New England’s Eye on Design Conference. Duffy Design Group holds four Best of Boston Awards for Interior Design Excellence.

Dennis expanded his design business to include D SCALE - a retail store featuring his own line of modern furnishings and imported accessory collections. D SCALE was awarded the International Interior Design Association’s (IIDA) 2009 New England Chapter’s Best Retail Project Award.

As the acting Director of Professional Development on the IIDA New England executive board, he has helped to organize continuing education courses for professionals and students, bringing invaluable resources together and spear-heading an NCIDQ preparation course to help designers get ready for the certification exam.

Registration: 8:30-9:00am - light refreshments and breakfast will be provided

Introduction & Keynote speaker: 9:00-9:30am  with Dennis Duffy, IIDA, LEEP AP 

Portfolio Review Session: 9:30-11:30am
Students will have one-on-one conversations with three professionals for 20 minutes each to present their portfolio and work on interviewing skills

Wrap up, Awards & Networking:11:30am – 12:30pm
