The Texas Recreation and Park Society (TRAPS) is a nonprofit 501(c)3 educational and professional organization founded more than 75 years ago. TRAPS is committed to advancing the field of parks, recreation and leisure services in Texas.
There are approximately 2,000 professional and citizen-advocate members of the Texas Recreation and Park Society. The mission of the organization is to provide professional development, advocacy and resources to all who enhance the quality of life through parks, open spaces and recreation.
Attention Young Professionals:
Are you a Young Professional (age 35 or younger) who plans to attend NRPA Congress? Apply for an externship, sponsored by the American Academy for Park and Recreation Administration. Externs are paired with a mentor and receive up to $750 reimbursement for travel and lodging at NRPA Congress. The application deadline is Friday (June 21st). Do you want to share your knowledge and passion?
TRAPS is now accepting education proposals for educational sessions at the 2014 Institute & EXPO Feb. 18-21 in Corpus Christi. Submit an education proposal to the TRAPS office by July 30th.
NRPA Congress in Houston - reserve your spot now!
