What's Inside?
At Manhood 2012, we created a safe space to see what’s inside. We will identify the shadows that hold us back from being the best we can be and we will explore and enhance the light within us that works for us to be strong, loving, authentic men who are fearlessly present and able to speak our truth.
The answers are inside us and it’s a clever place to hide the truth if you don’t want anyone to look because the truth of the matter is we are always looking outward for our answers. Once you start to truly go inward to find your answers, your outward world will change.

Why go to a Men's Gathering?
Open Ground men's gatherings are recognised internationally for providing life-changing programmes and creating a strong community of men. Manhood allows men from a wide range of backgrounds to connect with other men, to forge new friendships and to develop as a man through a series of high-quality workshops and activities over the weekend.
Manhood is a safe, non-judgemental, supportive space where you choose what you want to do—be it a workshop, relaxing, talking, swimming, taking quiet personal time for reflection or making new friends. It's totally up to you! The atmosphere is light and welcoming. Each man is treated with absolute respect as to his level of participation.
Who attends a Men's Gathering?
Men from 18 to 80+ from all walks of life, careers and social gathering. We find there is no typical attendee. What we do find is that men who attend are usually seeking a better way to define themselves and a better way to live their lives. Manhood is open to all men from any background, religious, political or sexual persuasion. We encourage freedom for men to be real with themselves and other men.
How it all works
The idea is to let you choose how you want to participate, and which of the wide selection of activities offered during the weekend you want to involve yourself in. The choice is yours. Food is a highlight of the weekend. Healthy, nutritious and filling meals are provided by our experienced catering team. You won't go home hungry!
 About the Venue
Bornhoffen PCYC lies in the mountainous and beautiful Numinbah Valley of the Gold Coast Hinterland. Bornhoffen is just 30 minutes drive from the Gold Coast, or one hour and 20 mins from Brisbane's CBD.
